Education Has Changed. A little or alot?

"What examples from your years as a student are different from a student in the early 1900's? Whats still the same?"
"Not until the 1940s would public school education become available to the majority of black children living in the South"- Page 283 paragraph 3.
Personal voice on page 283 describes how cruel school can be to the students.
An increase of African American students in public schools by 1910 between the ages of 15-19. - page 284 1st paragraph
By 1900, not even close to a 3rd of the African American population was enrolled into college. - page 285, 1st paragraph
Gettin whipped by wooden sticks back in the day,
Sent to the main office now if your late,
If you don't do your work you gettin a bad grade,
White and colored folks segregated schools,
Now we have Blacks, Mexicans and Asians too,
Now we have an equal right to an education,
Theres even different language translations,
Pencil and a paper is what they used back in the day,
Now we typing on the computers before turning in an essay,
Before it was a board and some chalk,
Now the teachers click next then point and talk.
